Google has developed self-navigating cars now...

But here in Nicaragua they had self-navigating donkeys for years. 

They just pack them full of stuff and kick them out on the trail. Somehow in someway these animals then find their way home.... Admittedly at a snails paste because they stop to eat all the time,,, but patience is a virtue ;)
